1 Day VIP Koh Ker & Beng Mealea

1-Day VIP Tour Koh ker – Beng Mealea temple with the crowd at the most famous Angkor Complex sites often being counted in the 1000’s, many visitors are unaware that there are temples lying further out where the crowds can often be counted on just one hand.

– In the morning: we’ll departing early from Siem Reap and driving three hours northeast, your first stop is the 10th century capital of Koh Ker. While there are known to be over 200 temples within the boundaries of this ancient city, only 96 have been discovery thus far. In fact, most of your morning is likely to be spent at just one: Prasat Thom. Though much of this temple is partially buried, and visitor numbers vary from day to day, the numbers are always low here. It is not uncommon from you to have this ancient site all to yourself. At the far end of Prasat Thom there is towering pyramid, somewhere reminiscent of Mayan or Inca architecture.

-In the afternoon: we’ll visit Beng Mealea Temple around 70km from Siem Reap. Enjoy a short walk through the dense jungle and feel like an explorer when you discover the completely overgrown temple. Undiscovered for centuries, Beng Mealea temple has only recently been made accessible and remains unrestored. It is one of the very few temples you’ll have the opportunity to climb through.

On the way back to the town you can visit temples like Roluos Group, Hariharalaya (the capital in the 9th century), Preah Ko, Bakong and Lolei.
