The Angkor Complex is vast and contains hundreds of temples. It’s impossible to see them all in a month, much less in a day, but it is possible to see a few of the major temples. With an experienced tour guide, you’ll save time, avoid crowds, and get the most out of your visit by gaining a good understanding of the mythology, history, and architecture. These are private tours; you will not be grouped together with other people in buses.

Day 1 : Angkor Complex
After breakfast at your hotel, you will visit the temples on the recommended one-day itinerary including the most famous Angkor Wat temple, which is the largest religious monument and one of the seven wonders of the world! Angkor Wat was built during the reign of King Suryavarman II in the early 12th century. The temple is constructed following the model of the temple mountain symbolizing Mount Meru, the home of the gods.
After Angkor Wat, we will continue to Angkor Thom the ancient capital in the 12th century. This massive complex includes the South Gate of Angkor Thom with its huge statues depicting the churning of the ocean of milk; Bayon Temple unique for its 54 towers decorated with 216 smiling faces of Bodhisattva Avolokitesvara the God of compassion; Baphuon (recently re-opened after years of restoration); Phimeanakas in the Royal Enclosure; the Elephants Terrace and the Terrace of the Leper King. Also Chau Say Tevoda and Thommanon temple.

In the afternoon, we’ll visit Ta Prohm, famous for being featured in the Tomb Raider Movie and one of the most beautiful temples in the area. Ta Prohm has been left relatively untouched since it was discovered and retains much of its mystery with massive trees taking root in and around the walls of the temple complex.
We’ll move on from there to Banteay Kdei Temple. Prasat Banteay Kdei means “A Citadel of Chambers” or “Citadel of Monk’s cells.” This is a Buddhist temple in Cambodia located southeast of Ta Prohm and east of Angkor Thom. Built-in the mid 12th to early 13th centuries AD during the reign of Jayavarman VII (who was posthumously given the title “Maha paramasangata pada”), it is in the Bayon architectural style, similar in plan to Ta Prohm and Preah Khan, but less complex and smaller.
Afterward, we’ll enjoy a spectacular sunset at Pre Rup temple far from the crowded spots with busloads of tourists.

Day 2: Banteay Srie
-In the morning: you will visit Banteay Srei temple (10th century), regarded as the jewel in the crown of classical Khmer Art. Stop at a local village to visit families producing palm sugar.
We’ll continue to visit Banteay Samre, one of the most complete complexes at Angkor due to using the “anastylosis” restoration method. The name Samre refers to an ethnic group of mountain people, who inhabited the region at the base of Phnom Kulen and were probably related to the Khmers. No inscriptions have been found for this temple, but the style of most of the architecture is of the classic art of the middle period similar to Angkor Wat. The proportions of Banteay Samre are splendid. A unique feature is an interior moat with laterite paving, which when filled with water must have given an ethereal atmosphere to the temple.

In The afternoon, we’ll visit the Eastern Mebon temple in the center of Eastern Baray, then visit Ta Som, Neak Poan, and Preah Khan. Preah Khan was built on the site of Jayavarman VII’s victory over the invading Chams in 1191. The modern name means “holy sword”.
On your request, your guides will stop for breakfast and lunch or can bring you back to Town for a short rest in between stops.
Typically the day begins after your breakfast and continues until lunch at which time you’ll be brought back to Siem Reap to have lunch, do a little shopping, take a swim, or whatever suits you to escape the mid-day heat. Touring begins again at about 2:30 and continues until dusk.
If you want to stay out all day through the break, it’s possible to have lunch at one of the local restaurants near the temples.
The day could also include sunrise, which costs extra ($20 for tour guide transportation ).

Day 3: Adventure trip
With the crowd at the most famous Angkor Complex sites often being counted in the 1000s, many visitors are unaware that there are temples lying further out where the crowds can often be counted on just one hand.
Departing early from Siem Reap and driving three hours northeast, your first stop is the 10th-century capital of Koh Ker. While there are known to be over 200 temples within the boundaries of this ancient city, only 96 have been discovered thus far. In fact, most of your morning is likely to be spent at just one: Prasat Thom.
Though much of this temple is partially buried, and visitor numbers vary from day to day, the numbers are always low here. It is not uncommon for you to have this ancient site all to yourself.
At the far end of Prasat Thom, there is a towering pyramid, somewhere reminiscent of Mayan or Inca architecture.

-In the afternoon: we’ll visit Beng Mealea Temple around 70km from Siem Reap. Enjoy a short walk through the dense jungle and feel like an explorer when you discover the completely overgrown temple.
Undiscovered for centuries, the Beng Mealea temple has only recently been made accessible and remains unrestored. It is one of the very few temples you’ll have the opportunity to climb through.
On the way back to the town you can visit temples like Roluos Group, Hariharalaya (the capital in the 9th century), Preah Ko, Bakong, and Lolei.

Day 4 : Adventure trip (Peaceful place and Holy mountain)
After your breakfast in the morning, I will meet you at your hotel. Depart Siem Reap heading north towards and your first stop is the 9th century capital of Mount Mahendraparvata ( Kulen mountain ) is the holy mountain. This is approximately a 2-hour drive, and along the way you will see the Thousand Lingas River, the Grand Reclining Buddha, and the famous waterfall. I will talk you through the historical and cultural significance of each of these landmarks.
This is widely regarded as the birthplace of the ancient Khmer Empire. During the constructional period of the ancient temples in the ninth century, sand stones were brought from this sacred mountain to Angkor. It was here at Phnom Kulen that King Jayavarman II proclaimed independence from Java in 802 A.D.

Afterward we’ll enjoy a spectacular sunset at Chong Khneas is the name of famous floating village at the edge of the lake. It locates at Southern part of Siem Reap town about 15 Km, and takes only 30 minutes by vehicles to the boat dock where there are always boats waiting for visitors. This is a bit touristy but visitors are not going to see the floating villages by the same boats. They will hire private boat which only take them to see the floating houses. Life of those people relies on fishing. Trip to this place will see fish farm of the most fresh water fish that the fishermen raise, crocodiles farm, snakes carried by children, many kinds of fishing traps made of bamboos, Vietnamese village, Khmere or Cambodian village.

Day5: Siem Reap City Tour
Morning Tour:
8.00AM: After breakfast at the hotel, we visit the Artisan Silk Farm, War Museum Baddish Pagoda with a killing field site, and the National Museum , Artisan d’Angkor, which is famous for its traditional craft products such as stone carving, wood carving, lacquering, gilding and silk processing. And you can spend your time to see some local markets and can buy somethings for your family .
Lunch: At a local restaurant in Siem Reap City.
-In the afternoon Countryside tour:

T here is an amazing way for experience life in Cambodia and see the local market in the village with the soft morning light while you will try and taste different kind of street foods and snacks. After that we will ride hidden trails a way out from tourist along the back roads through villages to see rice fields, stilt houses and see life outside the city. Watch locals working on their farms (traditional rice cultivation in vibrant green paddies), water buffaloes basking in plentiful watering holes, kids enjoying their freedom in the countryside, and be amazed how different the speed of their life is compared to bustling Siem Reap. This tour is for those that want to see and experience the real treasure of Cambodia: its people!
